Multiple libraries
You play in two bands and you do not want their repertoires in one pile. Since 0.2.0 you can create several libraries and switch between them.
What it is for
- Two bands with different repertoires
- A band plus your own solo material
- A scratch library for trying imports without disturbing the real repertoire
- Weddings and corporate gigs kept apart from the club set
What is separate
Each library has its own:
- Songs, including every personal field — notes, transposition, auto-scroll speeds
- Setlists with breaks and notes
- Annotations
- Attachments — PDFs, MusicXML and images each get their own folder
Technically it is a separate database. Libraries know nothing about each other and nothing leaks between them.
What stays shared
Your user settings are global and do not change when you switch library:
- Display name and instrument
- Stage theme, font sizes, button layout
- Pedal and MIDI mappings
- Metronome settings
- App language and theme

That is deliberate — your name and your control layout are properties of you, not of the band. Switch library mid-rehearsal and the stage does not rearrange itself.

Limitations

You cannot switch library during a band session. Doing it mid-gig would leave the leader sending you songs that do not exist in the new library. Disconnect first, then switch.
Further:
- The last library cannot be deleted, nor can the one currently active.
- Songs are not copied between libraries. If you need a song in both, export it to ChordPro and import it in the other — see Export & import.
- An
.eutbackupcovers one library, the active one. With several libraries, back each up separately. - Sync has no concept of libraries. The leader shares what is in their active library; members store what they receive into theirs.
