Send concert (.eutset)

A band needs two things before a gig: to know what is being played, and to have the sheets for it. Usually that means a setlist in the chat, PDFs in an email, and an argument about who has which version.

Sending a concert puts those pieces together. The whole programme is packed into one file ending in .eutset, which you send however you normally would.

What the bundle holds

PartWhat is packed
Setlistthe running order, breaks, notes on the programme
Songslyrics and chords for every song in the setlist
Attachmentsthe PDFs, scores and photos that belong to those songs
Backing tracksaudio stems, if you include them
Attachments are not downscaled. Sheets arrive at the quality you have them at — the bundle is larger for it, but nobody gets a blurred page.

What it does not hold

Worth knowing up front:

  • Personal notes on songs. Those are yours and are not sent.
  • Hand-drawn marks and highlights over sheets.
  • Your app settings.
⚠
The file is not encrypted. Anyone who gets hold of it can see what is inside. Send it by a route you trust — and do not put anything in it that must not leave.

Sending one

In a setlist you choose export and then sending the concert. The app prepares the bundle and hands it to the system share sheet — from there you send it like any other file: by email, through a messenger, or straight to another device nearby.

Packing takes a moment. For large programmes with backing tracks, expect tens of seconds.

Opening one

The recipient taps the file and Eutepio offers to open it. The app does not have to be running.
Before anything is added, a preview appears — which songs and attachments the bundle holds. Only then does the recipient pick which library it goes into and confirm. Nothing is added on its own, and nothing already in the library is overwritten without asking.
Received concerts sit together in the Connect tab. They stay there after you close the app.

Follow-up programmes

Send the same concert a second time — with a changed running order, say, or an extra song — and the recipient sees it in the preview. The bundle is recognised as a continuation of the previous one, not as a new independent programme.

That way you do not end up with two near-identical setlists in the library every time you rearrange something before a gig.

Limits

  • It is not continuous sync. It is a file handover. If you change something after sending, the recipient does not know until you send a new bundle.
  • Sending attachments into a song from another app — sharing a PDF or a photo straight into a specific song — is Android only for now. The concert itself opens on both platforms.
  • The round trip depends on the service you send it through. Some apps rename files or change their type; if Eutepio then does not appear in the open-with list, try another route or save the file first.
If you want to connect live while playing instead of sending files, that is a different feature — see Leading a session.
