How to contribute
Eutepio is built by one person, and the feature set is assembled from what bands actually need. Feedback is therefore not a politeness — it is the input decisions are made from.
Beta program
The app is at version 0.2.7 and in closed beta. You can sign up on the beta program page.
As a beta tester you get access earlier and a direct line to development. In return it helps if you write in occasionally about what works and what does not — even when that is "nothing special, it ran fine".
Installation details are in Installation.
Feature suggestions
Suggestions go through the form on the beta program page.
A good suggestion describes the situation, not the solution:
"At rehearsal we keep writing on paper which verses we skip, and by the time we get home we've forgotten."
is more useful than
"Add checkboxes to verses."
The first says what is wrong and leaves how to fix it open. The second locks in one particular solution that may not be the best one.
Bug reports
Bugs have their own page — Bug reports. Reading it saves both sides a round of questions.
What helps most
Given where the app is right now:
| Area | Why it is valuable |
|---|---|
| Sync on real networks | Sync tests well at home and badly in a venue. Reports from the stage, especially about networks where discovery fails, are the single most valuable input. |
| Imports from other apps | Got a library in another program? Try a ChordPro export and import it. If something breaks, attach a sample file. |
| Unusual devices | Old tablets, large displays, desktop. |
| Pedals and HID devices | The app knows no specific models, so a list of "this pedal works" only ever comes from user reports. |
| Language and wording | The app ships in Czech and English. A badly chosen word in the UI is a bug too. |
Community
Discussion happens on Discord. It is the fastest way to ask something or talk a suggestion through before you submit it.

ℹ
Eutepio is not open source and the source code is not publicly available. Contributing code is therefore not possible yet — contributions come as testing, reports and suggestions.
