Eutepio 0.4.1 — no invitation needed

Open testing on all three platforms — you install Eutepio yourself, no invitation. And you report a problem straight from the app.

— Eutepio

The waiting is over. Testing is open on all three platforms — you install Eutepio yourself from Google Play, from TestFlight, or as an installer for Windows. No invitation, and no sending us your account.

Report a problem from the app

While the only way to report a bug was a form on the website, you had to copy out which phone you had and which version. Now there is Settings → Help and privacy → Report a problem: you write down what went wrong and send it.
Nothing is sent on its own and nothing is attached behind your back. Before the report leaves, you see its full contents in a preview. Device details can be turned off; technical diagnostics, a reply address and a screenshot are attached only if you want them. Your songs, libraries and notes never end up in a report. And if you would rather not send anything directly, the message can be opened in your own mail app, so you see exactly what goes out.
What is sent and how long we keep it is spelled out in the privacy policy.

Settings you can find things in

One long list has been replaced by named sections. Stage appearance, chord notation, your profile, libraries and backups, connections and sharing, help and privacy — each thing sits where you would look for it.

Attachments reach the band at full quality

PDFs and photos of sheet music are no longer downscaled on the way to the band. Whoever asks for an attachment gets it exactly as you have it. In the same spirit, photos stay original — a camera shot and an image from your computer are both stored as they are, and downscaling happens only when you ask for it.

My devices — experimental

Playing from your phone but writing on a tablet or a computer? My devices lets your library move between your own devices directly over the local network. No server, no account, and the connection is encrypted.
It is an experimental feature and it is off by default — you turn it on in Settings → Connections and sharing → Experimental features. Make a backup before you let it near a library you care about. That is why we say it this plainly instead of calling it a new feature.

Fixes you will notice

  • A band session on Android 15 no longer stops after six hours — and it does stop when you close the app
  • Update from leader works without the stage open
  • The name in your profile saves without confirming, and survives a restart

You can go back

A backup from 0.4.1 opens in 0.4.0, and the band works across both versions, so you do not all have to update at once.

The app is at version 0.4.1 (build 19). The full list of changes is in the changelog, and the links to install it are on the download page.
